Working around the house...

Over the weekend, Seth installed a new faucet in the kitchen, he is such a handyman...although he frequently doubts his skills! It looks great, as you'll see below Carter was a HUGE help :-) Carter and I got a little bored on Saturday, so we decided to do a little photo shoot in his crib, hahaha! I'm sure I had more fun than he did, oh well :-)

Here is Daddy and Carter adding the finishing touches.

And then a super cute picture of my boys hanging out by the finished product!

Take my picture mommy...

Awww yeah...lookin good!

Me and my blue bear...

Anyone want to join me in here for my nap?

Update on our little man...

Carter is feeling and acting much better today...I think the antibiotics and the breathing treatments are for sure helping. His cough doesn't sound quite as bad. We went to the doctor this morning and she thought he looked 10x's better, and his x-rays didn't show anything bad...so she ruled out Pneumonia, thank goodness! She thinks he has bronchitis coupled with an ear infection. We have been giving him lots of TLC, so I'm sure he'll be doing much better by this weekend. Both Grandmas will be traveling here this week to visit him; since I don't want him out and about too much...I'm sure they'll help him get back to his normal self again.

Sick little guy...

Carter hasn't been feeling well over the past few days. He woke up Saturday with a nasty cough and a runny nose. We called the doctor and she told us as long as he wasn't running a fever, he was eating and sleeping okay, then he should be fine. He didn't sleep very well on Monday night so we decided to take him to the doctor today. Good thing we did, it turns out he has an ear infection and he could be developing pneumonia! We ended up doing a breathing treatment in the doc's office and got some chest x-rays taken. Today was my first experience of having a sick child...now I understand how my mom felt when she had sick kids, it was very scary and tough for me to hear, I felt like I let my little guy down in some way. But, he is a baby, and babies get sick. He seems to being doing better now that we've started the breathing treatments and the antibiotics. We go back to the doctor tomorrow at 11:45. I'll let everyone know how it goes.

Hanging out...

Seth has been gone all week, he had a conference for work in Santa Monica, CA this week. So Carter and I have been holding down the fort. Seth gets home tonight and I know Carter will be super excited to see his Daddy...he misses when he's gone :-) Here are some pics from this week and last, as you can see Carter is now holding his bottle (kinda) on his own, and he's loving the cereal. I'm thinking we may move into some veggies sooner than I initially thought we would.

Having fun in my bouncer...

Carter seems to really like his bouncer, below are some photos of him hanging out and having some fun.

Yesterday, Carter wore a cute new cardigan that he got for Christmas...so I felt the need to post a couple of these pictures too. I think he's going to be  a stylish little guy like his Dad!

Cereal...not so yummy!

Last night we tried cereal for the first time, as you'll see in the photos, Carter really wasn't digging the cereal to much. He was a little tired and ready for his bottle, so the timing of the cereal may not have been the best. We'll keep trying...

Things started out going okay...
He even wanted to hold the spoon on his own...
But, I couldn't seem to get it in his mouth fast enough..
And so it got REALLY ugly!!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!

Carter had a wonderful first Christmas spending time with his family, this boy is spoiled!! And it's only the beginning! Carter started off the season by taking some adorable Christmas pictures (Thank you Katie Larkins!) and he also had his picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus. We visited with great grandparents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends...Carter was pretty wore out when it was all said and done. Thank you to everyone for the great gifts, I know he loved each and every one of them ;-)

Let's get this thing started...

I figured it is time to get this blog going...my apologies to all of you out there who have been anticipating the creation of this thing :-)

Carter is doing great these days, he turned 4 months old on December 28th. We went to the doctor last week and he is 26inches long and about 16lbs, he is growing like a weed. He really is a very happy little guy, he is so expressive! I will post some pictures of him from birth to 4 months...to get caught up a bit.
