Carter had his first swim lesson at the YMCA on Saturday morning, he absolutely loved it, which wasn't a huge surprise to Seth and I...he loves his bath time every night as well. He got a little cranky at the end of the lesson mostly because he was cold and tired. He took an extra long nap on Saturday; he slept from 10:30 to 2:30! We are looking forward to this coming Saturday as well! Enjoy some of the pics that I took...as you can see Carter is taking lessons with his buddy Camden.

Easter weekend...
Carter had a fun Easter weekend, he got all dressed up on Easter morning, we went to church and then headed up north to Great Grandma Richardson's for the afternoon.
We couldn't ever get the two of them to smile at the same time...
We watched Delaney on Friday night, she and Carter had a fun time playing with his toys

It's been a while...
Well, it has been a while since my last post...we have been very busy. Carter has hit some milestones since my last post. First off, we are now sitting up...and he is attempting to crawl, he props himself up like he's ready to take off and then he flops down on his belly! It's pretty funny, although Carter doesn't seem to think its funny all the time, he gets upset after trying and trying to move on his own with no luck! He will be on the move soon, I know it! He also is starting to show his first tooth...he has been a little grumpy b/c of this, but for the most part he is such a happy little guy. I am going to post some of Carter's 6 month pics that we just got back...they turned out great!

6 months old today!!
Everyone always talks about how time flies by...well I now get it! I seriously do not know where time has gone with our little man. He is 6 months old today! He had his 6 month doc appointment on Friday, he took his shots like a little champ, Carter now weighs 16lbs and 13oz and he is 27.5 inches. And on Saturday we took our 6 month pictures. He did pretty good for most of the shoot...he started to get a little cranky at the end of the hour, but for the most part he did great. I'm sure we got some great shots. Below are some pictures over the past few days...
I love this picture, I took it before he got his pictures taken yesterday. We put him in his robe so he would be ready for his "photoshoot" too cute!!

Our first week...
Well, I started my new job this week and we had a very smooth transition with Carter. Today is Friday, so I am home with my boy, I am so glad that I was able to get Friday's off!! It was tough for me this week leaving him with the sitter for the first time, but I felt so much better when we walked in...he looked up at Jessica (the sitter) and smiled SO big! Gosh, it made leaving him there much easier. Granted...he smiles at everyone right now, but if he would have teared up...I may have had to call in sick in my first week ;-) Carter still spends Monday's and Tuesday's with the Grandma's and Wednesday's and Thursday's with Jessica...and Friday's with Mommy!
Oh, it turns out...I like my job, my boss and the folks I work with...so I think that made things with Carter easier as well. It's lunch time for my little man...I'll get some new pics up soon!

Some changes...
Hello all...for those of you that have not heard, I have accepted a new job. I wasn't looking for a new position, it just kinda landed in my lap. I will be the internal recruiter for a company called WestPoint Financial, I will be hiring around 25 new advisors for the year...so if anyone knows of someone that could be a fit, have them contact me!
I have been working from home for the past 2 years now as a headhunter. As we all know, times are tough and so not as many employers have been hiring, which has made my job a little tougher. I do enjoy being home...well, I love it and hate it at the same time. I really struggled with the decision to make a change mostly b/c of Carter. I love being able to hang out with him and see him change daily. Being a mom has been so fantastic, and I know that won't change...it will just be a little different. I will work in the office on Monday through Thursday and I get Friday's off, which will be so great in the summertime. I plan on taking Carter to the pool, the zoo and of course the lake quite a bit this summer. We are fortunate enough to have the grandmas watch Carter on Monday's and Tuesday's and then he will go to a sitter that lives in Sorrento (attached to our addition) on Wednesday's and Thursday's. I think this is going to be a good decision for me, but most importantly our family...and the nice part is that if this job doesn't work out the way I hope, I can always go back to my current situation. My boss with automationtechies is fantastic!
So, that is the big news with our family...wish us luck!!
