Halloween

Carter had a great time during Halloween this year, he actually had two costumes this year. We thought he was going to be a pirate…which he was, but he also dressed up as Shrek with his cousin Delaney!! haha…she insisted that he was Shrek and she be Princess Fiona! We went over to Pine Hills for Trunk or Treating…and then we went to Monroeville on Halloween night for Carter’s first real Trick or Treating experience. He loved it!! Happy Halloween.

Carving Pumpkins

We carved pumpkins the other night, it has been so cold and rainy outside that we had to set up shop inside…Carter had a fun time. He kept saying “oh daddy, the pumpkins are spooky.”

Carter's 1st birthday party!

We celebrated Carter's 1st birthday on August 28th, it's so hard to believe that a year has gone by! Cater is such  a blessing...below are some pictures from him Elmo birthday bash!

Nashville for Aunt Sarah's wedding

We packed up the minivan and headed to Nashville last weekend to celebrate with the family, Sarah and Jon got married!!!. It was so fun, we were there from Thursday to Sunday. The wedding was beautiful, it was held at a place that looked like an old plantation. Carter was great, he stayed in his normal routine...and he got to watch a dvd in the car for the first time. We took Grandma H with us to be the nanny for the weekend as well.

A Great time was had by all.

Summer...

Hey everyone,

Sorry for the major slacking in the blogging department, I haven't had a ton of extra time to sit down and do this. We have been having a great summer with Carter. He absolutely loves the water and more importantly he loves the lake water! He is for sure a water baby, which is great since we have been spending most of our weekends at Crooked Lake. He doesn't like to just hang out in a floatie of course...he likes to lay on his belly and kick and splash with is legs and arms.

Carter is finally starting to get his two upper teeth to pop through, I feel so bad for him during this time. He is pretty much like clock work with naps and bedtime, but these teeth are really throwing things off...I guess we need to remember that it's only temporary.

He seems to be getting closer to walking, he is starting to try and stand up on his own, he likes to walk behind one of his push toys and he is pulling himself up on everything. He is starting to say his first word...which is..."mama," I love it! He looks right at me and mouths it a few times before he actually says it, it's so dang cute. I cannot belive his birthday is coming up, this year has flown by! I think I decided that our birthday theme is going to be Elmo, he seems to really like his Elmo doll, he is always hugging him and giving him kisses...so I figure we can't go wrong with Elmo.

Father's Day and Indian Lake

Hi everyone -

Well we had a fun weekend, we headed up to Indian Lake to stay with Great Aunt Sherri and family! Carter had a blast, he loves the water and enjoyed hanging out with Cass, Sherri and Rick. We hung out on the boat on both Saturday and Sunday. See pics below.

Today is Seth's first Father's Day, he is such a great dad to Carter! Carter picked out a wheelbarrow and a charcoal grill for his dad...Seth loved the gifts!

Thanks to Uncle Greg and Aunt Kara for watching Hoosier for the weekend, he was a good boy for them...but of course when we get home and I open the door to the car, he bolts out and decided to go on a 30 minute run throughout the neighborhood! grrrrr!
